St. Spyridon Church Hall
First Annual Greek Orthodox Youth Folk Dance Festival was held in San Diego, California.
Six teams from Las Vegas, Fresno, San Diego, and Marin County competed at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, San Diego.
Dancing and singing
The Junior Parish Council at St. Spyridon, led by Peter E. Preovolos, made the Folk Dance Festival their first project.
Wafer-thin medals from the first Greek Orthodox Youth Folk Dance Festival.
Father Theodore Phillips formed the St. Spyridon Junior Parish Council (JPC).
George Scarvelis, Themis Gallanis, and George Fahouris of the 1976 St. Spyridon Aegean Dancers.
Bishop Meletios presented a gold medal to Themis Gallanis and each of the Aegean Dancers. Every dancer received a medal that year.
39 dancers performed at the folk dance festival that year.
