This montage by Your FDF showcases dances, guest speakers, and behind-the-scenes fun from the entire weekend of FDF 2016. Before FDF 2017 happens this month, let’s take a look back at some highlights from last year’s festival.
This year, FDF comes to San Diego for the 8th time since it began in 1976. The 2017 Greek Orthodox Folk Dance & Choral Festival will take place at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center in Mission Valley. Though the FDF schedule is packed with events, if you’re from out of town you may want to take advantage of the time you have in San Diego to explore the city.
The 2016 San Diego International Film Festival begins today. The festival, which runs from September 28th to October 4th, will feature over 100 films in a variety of genres.

“I want to represent all the refugees because I want to show everyone that, after the pain, after the storm, comes calm days,” says Olympic swimmer Yusra Mardini. The International Olympic Committee has created a team of refugee athletes that will compete at the 2016 Rio Games.
